Salary: $22.00 - $27.00/hour DOE

Organizational Introduction:

Underground Infrastructure Technologies (UIT), LLC. is a full-service contractor specializing in trenchless technologies headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado. We provide wet and dry utility installations utilizing trenchless technologies for projects involving Departments of Transportation, Federal and State agencies, local municipalities, sewer and water districts, and private development organizations. We have successfully completed projects for both public and private entities, with sizes ranging from 20 to 120 inches in diameter.

As a sister company to Harrison Western Construction Corporation, a 50+ year-old firm, we leverage superior leadership, management, process, and senior oversight on all projects, large and small, to deliver superior results for our clients.

Position Summary:

We are seeking experienced Construction Laborers to join our team. Laborers work under the direction of other field personnel, performing physical activities to support utility construction projects. They are essential to the success of the crew and must be able to troubleshoot and follow directions to ensure safety and accuracy.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Assist crew leader in construction and maintenance work.
  • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
  • Operate specialized equipment, depending on the job.
  • Load and unload materials at the jobsite.
  • Maintain tools and equipment.
  • Report to job sites daily; out-of-state travel may be required up to 30%.

Most work is in the Colorado Front Range area. Gas allowance is provided around 50 miles from Lakewood, with per diem starting after 75 miles.

Work in a safe manner at all times.

Required Skills:

  • At least 1 year of construction experience, preferably in utility construction.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to follow directions from leadership.
  • Ability to recognize safety risks and hazards.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Work in various physical positions (standing, sitting, etc.).
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, physical, and background check.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including nights and weekends.
  • Strongly preferred: AWS welding certification D1.1-1 (Structural welding Steel).
  • Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., excavator) is strongly preferred.
