Job summary

Lucas Industrial is hiring a full-time Experienced Roofer - Roofing Service Tech in Murfreesboro, TN. The role is hands-on, non-supervisory, and works under a foreman to deliver high-quality flat/low-slope roofing projects.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, installing TPO systems, fabricating and fitting sheet metal, and maintaining a safe, compliant job site. Travel may be required; weekend work could occur based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Commercial roofing experience with flat/low-slope systems.
• TPO roofing experience, including hot-air welding of seams/details.
• Sheet metal experience and flashing knowledge.
• Ability to pass internal welding standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specs, stage materials, and install/restore flat and low-slope roofs.
• Weld TPO seams and finish penetrations and terminations for a watertight assembly.
• Apply adhesives, sealants, and caulking; maintain a clean, safe site and comply with OSHA policies.

This is a hands-on, non-supervisory commercial roofing position working under the direction of a foreman. It's designed for experienced professionals who bring confidence, technical expertise, and pride in workmanship to every job site.

Schedule

• Full-time, in-person
• 40-60 per week
• Day, evening, and night shifts
• Overtime and weekend work as needed
• Travel required for project-based assignments

Responsibilities

As our Experienced Roofer - Roofing Service Tech, you'll interpret drawings and specs, stage materials, and install or restore flat and low-slope systems with tight sequencing and clean execution. You'll weld TPO seams, finish penetrations and terminations with confidence, and integrate sheet metal-from flashing and coping to trim, curbs, wall caps, and canopies-to lock in a watertight assembly. You'll apply adhesives, sealants, and caulking with care, communicate material needs early, maintain a clean, organized, and safe site, and uphold OSHA and company policies so the work runs smoothly and finishes inspection-ready.

Qualifications

• Commercial roofing experience (flat/low-slope)
• TPO roofing experience, including hot-air welding of seams and details
• Sheet metal experience
• Familiarity with flashing, edge metal, coping, and roof penetrations
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to install shop-fabricated metal components (fabrication completed in our shop)
• Ability to pass internal quality and welding standards
• Ability to provide own personal cordless power tools, hand tools, and required safety gear (some PPE provided)
• Ability to work independently while following the foreman's direction
• Ability to reside or relocate to Murfreesboro, TN prior to start date
• Willingness to travel frequently for project-based work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Preferred Experience

• Experience with EPDM, PVC, or metal roofing systems
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Manufacturer or industry-recognized TPO roofing certification
