Job summary

Godby Heating Plumbing Electrical is seeking an Experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our Indianapolis team. You will service and maintain light to medium commercial heating and cooling systems, diagnose issues, and keep customer equipment operating reliably.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of commercial HVAC experience, strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, and the ability to read wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• At least two years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Experience with light to medium commercial HVAC equipment.
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of electrical controls, airflow, and mechanical systems.
• Experience servicing rooftop units, package units, split systems, or similar commercial equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Comfortable working independently and managing daily service calls.
• Strong customer communication skills.
• Dependable, organized, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• EPA Certification is preferred.
• Experience with commercial controls, building automation systems, and manufacturer-specific equipment is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and preventative maintenance for light to medium commercial heating and cooling systems throughout the Indianapolis area.
• Work with equipment such as rooftop units, package units, split systems, VAV systems, exhaust systems, and other commercial HVAC equipment; diagnose system problems and perform startups and testing.
• Communicate with customers and facility personnel, document completed service electronically, and collaborate with the team to keep systems operating safely and efficiently.
