Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC technician in Santa Barbara to install, start up, test, and commission commercial HVAC systems. The role requires 5+ years of related experience and a Universal CFC certification, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at elevated heights.

On-site work with various HVAC equipment and safety protocols is required. The candidate should be proficient in reading blueprints and following instructions with minimal supervision while maintaining

Qualifications

5 years of experience maintaining similar commercial HVAC equipment.
Current Universal CFC certification is required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Install new HVAC units, brazing, line sets, and refrigerant charging.
Install piping systems including drain piping, water lines, gas lines, valves and actuators.
Install coils, compressors, condensers, fans, motors and related equipment.
Perform start-up, testing, and commissioning on RTUs, AHUs, VAVs, and other commercial HVAC gear.
Test lines and components for leaks and repair defective joints.
Perform preventative maintenance such as cleaning, filter changes, and lubrication.
