Job summary

DuraServ is seeking experienced technicians to diagnose precisely, install with pride, and own the outcome on-site in Atlanta, GA. You’ll handle projects from service calls to installations and must read diagrams, troubleshoot mechanically and electrically, and fabricate as needed with welding tools.

A strong focus on safety and clear communication with customers is essential to keep facilities running smoothly.

• Read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to guide diagnostics and repairs accurately.

What You'll OwnThe Technical Work

• Install, service, and maintain commercial dock and door equipment to manufacturer standards — rolling doors, sectional doors, dock levelers, and related systems
• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting across a wide range of equipment types — you diagnose root causes, not symptoms
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate brackets, mounts, and installation hardware as needed
• Read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to guide diagnostics and repairs accurately

• Document all service activity with precision — work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance

Education & ExperienceRequired

• Valid, current state‑issued driver's license — field travel to customer sites is daily
• Ability to meet physical demands: regular fieldwork outdoors, frequent ladder use, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly

Preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent — trade school certificate or diploma accepted and valued
• Hands‑on experience with welding, mechanical systems, hydraulics, or electrical work
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with commercial dock and door systems — including sectional doors, rolling steel doors, dock levelers, dock seals and shelters, and related equipment. This is the line that separates an experienced technician from an apprentice.
