E.L. Electrical Contracting Inc. in Michigan seeks an Experienced Apprentice Electrician to join our commercial team. The role entails wiring, conduit installations, panel wiring, and assisting on a variety of projects across Oakland, Macomb, Lapeer, and Wayne Counties from our Auburn Hills office.

You must hold a State of Michigan Apprenticeship License, bring personal hand tools, drive safely, and work independently while mentoring junior apprentices in a respectful, growth‑oriented shop.

Qualifications

• A valid State of Michigan Apprenticeship License.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Personal hand tools, work boots, and a hard hat.
• A clean driving record and a current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Wiring & conduit installation for commercial buildings.
• Lighting systems installation including LED and emergency lighting.
• Electrical panels & circuit breakers installation and wiring.
• Job site safety protocols and hazard prevention.
• Interpreting plans and schematics for accurate installations.
• Mentoring junior apprentices and guiding less experienced team members.
• Material management and organization for job sites.

What You'll Be Doing

• Wiring & Conduit Installation: Installing electrical wiring, raceways, and conduit systems for commercial buildings
• Lighting Systems: Assisting in installing various lighting systems, including LED, fluorescent, and emergency lighting
• Electrical Panels & Circuit Breakers: Installing and wiring electrical panels, breakers, and other control systems
• Job Site Safety: Ensuring safety protocols are followed and the job site is hazard-free
• Interpreting Plans: Working from electrical blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installations
• Mentoring Junior Apprentices: Helping to guide and mentor less experienced apprentices
• Material Management: Assisting with the ordering and organizing of materials for the job
