The Delta Companies are looking for an Experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join our team.
$26-$33/hr + OT (based on experience)
Delta Research is an AS9100 and ISO9001 registered facility which manufactures Automotive & Truck Differentials, Gear Products, Prototype/Development and Production, Transmission Builds. In addition, we provide contract gear and CMM inspection services. We are also a NADCAP approved non-destructive testing facility and currently provide Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Nital Etch.
Job Summary: An experienced CNC Milling Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining multi-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
· Machine Setup: Set up CNC milling machines (3rd, 4th, and 5th axis) by installing and adjusting tools, fixtures, and attachments.
· Programming: Program CNC machines using G-code to produce parts according to specifications.
· Operation: Operate CNC milling machines, monitor their performance, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
· Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure they meet specifications.
· Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with machine operations, programming, and tooling.
· Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC milling machines to ensure optimal performance.
· Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
· Safety: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
· Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in CNC milling setup and operation, specifically with 3rd, 4th, and 5th axis machines.
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a machining or manufacturing technology program is preferred.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in G-code programming and the use of precision measuring instruments.
· Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
· Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with specific CNC milling machines (e.g., Mitsui Seiki, Kitamura).
· Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
