Job summary

ESPO Corporation in Elgin, IL is seeking a CNC Mill and Lathe Machinist for 1st shift to set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes, following programs, prints and work orders.

You will coordinate with engineering and operators, input tooling and program adjustments, verify measurements and ensure parts meet tolerances. Strong math, reading blueprints, and English communication are essential. Direct hire with competitive pay and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience setting up/running CNC Mills
• Able to read micrometers, gauges and blueprints
• CAD/CAM knowledge is helpful but not required
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment using common hand tools and input program instructions
• Coordinate machining with engineering personnel and operators
• Run tests, monitor operation, and adjust as needed
• Gauge finished parts and ensure tolerances are met
• Finish parts using grinders, mills, EDMs and honing equipment
• Maintain tooling, records and paperwork
• Adhere to quality and safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
