Job summary

Always Best Care–Atlanta is seeking an experienced CNA to cover open shifts and starts of care across Metro Atlanta. You will provide hands-on care, assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts, and travel to client homes within the service area.

Ideal candidates have current CNA certification, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to work PRN, with daily assignments communicated by 7:30 AM. This role requires dependable, independent caregiving in home environments.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification is required.
• Hands-on caregiving experience is essential.

• TB test result within the past year.
• Reliable transportation with ability to travel across service area.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Cover open shifts, last-minute call-outs, and other urgent staffing needs.
• Assist with new client starts of care and observe the client's needs and home environment.
• Provide hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Safely assist with mobility, transfers, and lifting equipment (Hoyer lifts).
• Follow CNA protocols, infection control, and safe caregiving procedures.
• Recognize and report changes in client condition and safety concerns.
• Check in with clients and caregivers to support satisfaction and quality of care.
• Report client or caregiver concerns to the office when follow-up is needed.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Communicate professionally with office staff, clients, and families.
• Travel to client homes throughout the assigned service area.
• Adapt to changing assignments while maintaining dependable, professional care.

Always Best Care–Atlanta is seeking a highly experienced, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist with open shifts, last‑minute call‑outs, and new client starts of care throughout Metro Atlanta and surrounding communities.

This position is ideal for a seasoned CNA who is confident providing hands‑on care, adapting to different client needs, and working independently in various home environments. The right candidate must be able to recognize when a client's actual care needs or home environment differ from the information initially reported and communicate those concerns appropriately to the office.

• Recognize and report changes in client condition, safety concerns, and differences between reported and observed care needs.
• Check in with clients and caregivers as assigned to support satisfaction and quality of care.
• Communicate client or caregiver concerns to the office when follow‑up is needed.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Communicate professionally with office staff, clients, and families.
• Travel to client homes throughout the assigned service area.
• Adapt to changing assignments while maintaining dependable, professional care.

Requirements

• Current CNA certification.
• Substantial hands‑on caregiving experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Hoyer lifts and other mechanical lifts and transfer equipment.
• Strong knowledge of proper CNA protocols and safe transfer procedures.
• Current, unexpired CPR and First Aid certification.
• Recent, clear TB test result from within the past year.
• If providing a BLS certificate, the certificate must explicitly state that it covers First Aid. BLS alone does not satisfy the CPR and First Aid requirement unless First Aid coverage is indicated.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the service area.
• Strong observation, documentation, and communication skills.
• Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to pass the required background check.

Compensation & Scheduling

• $17 per hour
• PRN assignments based on client needs, open shifts, and call‑outs.
• Daily assignments will be sent no later than 7:30 AM.

This is strictly a PRN, as‑needed position. There are no guaranteed or set hours. Assignments are offered based on staffing needs, client care needs, and available coverage opportunities.
