The Davey Tree Expert Company in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join our outdoor-focused team. You will work on-site with a crew to care for trees, performing pruning, removal, and structural work using specialized climbing systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in outdoor work and safety-focused environment.
• Ability to operate climbing systems safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to complete Davey Tree orientation and safety courses.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing methods.
• Work with ground crew and crew leader to complete tasks.
• Prune, thin, and remove deadwood; install cables and bracing; remove hazards.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and lifts.

What You'll Do

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

What We're Looking For

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
