The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join our Knoxville team. This outdoors-first role places you on a daily changing landscape, tackling pruning, removal, and related tree-care services for clients.

Your office is the outdoors, and you’ll work with DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems, supported by a ground crew. This full-time, on-site position offers competitive hourly pay and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors is essential.
• Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program on hire.
• Ability to complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.

Responsabilités

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems.
• Work with ground crew and crew leader as part of a safety-focused team.
• Perform pruning, removal and related tree-care services for clients.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts.

What You'll Do

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

What We're Looking For

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
