Position Overview

Ace Carting is seeking a safety-conscious Class B CDL Driver to join our growing team in Fort Ann, NY.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate a garbage truck on assigned routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience is preferred but not required.
• Read route sheets and service each customer as specified or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading, sometimes without helpers.
• Operate hydraulic controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
• Interact courteously with customers and perform other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting over 50 pounds.
• Exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts, requiring safety precautions.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, including wet, humid, and noisy environments.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic knowledge of truck components for inspections.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays, approximately 50-55 hours per week with paid overtime.
