The Fire Society is seeking Experienced Catering Captains to join our full-service event production team in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will lead service at high-end events, ensure seamless presentation, and uphold Michelin-level hospitality standards with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in high-end catering, a valid Food Handlers Certificate, and a teamwork-driven attitude.

Most importantly, you will be part of a team of passionate people who work hard to produce some of the best events in the Bay Area.**Must Haves***Essential Skills / Qualities** Must be 21 years of age or older and be authorized to work legally in the US.* Must be well-groomed with a professional appearance.* Understands and demonstrates respect for onsite hierarchy by taking direction from event managers in a positive manner and applying that direction effectively.* Must be a hospitality-minded individual who is positive, motivated, and eager to provide an excellent guest experience.* Must demonstrate a cooperative spirit, respecting the rights and abilities of others, listening to others, and sharing responsibilities.* Ability to complete assigned tasks effectively and efficiently with a sense of urgency.* Must be able to transport oneself to various Bay Area locations where events take place.* Excellent communication skills and the ability to read, write and speak in the English language.* Must remain calm and hospitable under pressure, speaking to peers, guests, and supervisors respectfully (even in busy moments, or stressful situations)* Embodies adaptability when event changes occur. Able to find creative solutions and workarounds for any given scenario and can quickly innovate if typical methods/equipment is not available.*Leadership Skills / Qualities** Acts with self-awareness and empathy and values a healthy work environment. Understands how to manage different people differently, while inspiring excellence.* Must be able to support onsite leadership by leading by example through teaching, modeling, and inspiring rather than demanding.* Able to stay actively engaged with the event throughout all phases of the event, and act as a leader who is there to work among the team, while providing guidance to staff.*Experience Requirements** Must have at least 2+ years experience in high-end catering*Training Requirements** Must have a valid Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire*Physical Demands** Must be able to walk or stand for the duration of your accepted shifts (except for meal and rest periods).* Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.**What We Offer**The position of Experienced Catering Captain offers competitive compensation and benefits with the opportunity for growth and advancement within a thriving and rapidly changing company for those with outstanding customer service skills, professionalism, superb operational knowledge, and an overall desire to grow and learn with our company.
