Job summary

TradeWorX is seeking skilled carpenters in the Pittsburgh, PA area for full-time assignments across framing, interiors, and finish work. Pay ranges from $25 to $31 per hour, with potential overtime; start times and hours vary by project and assignment requirements.

Ideal candidates have hands-on carpentry experience, can measure, cut, fit, and install materials accurately, and safely use trade tools. Transportation to sites within the local area is expected; communicate availability and pay

Responsibilities

• Framing & Rough Carpentry: Wood framing, metal stud framing, partitions, layout, and general construction.
• Commercial Interiors: Drywall installation, acoustical ceilings, doors, frames, and hardware.
• Finish Carpentry: Trim, cabinets, finish installations, and detailed carpentry work.
• Concrete Formwork: Building, installing, and removing forms.
• Renovation & Maintenance: Repairs, remodeling, punch-list work, and construction improvements.

Pay & Overtime $25–$31/hour, depending on verified experience, skill level, and assignment requirements. Pay is determined by the specific opportunity and the work you're qualified to perform. Overtime may be available depending on the assignment. Pay, schedule, and location are discussed before accepting an assignment.

Schedule

Primarily first-shift construction schedules. Full-time assignments may be available. Start times and weekly hours vary by project. Short-term, long-term, and ongoing opportunities may become available.

Job Duties

• Framing & Rough Carpentry: Wood framing, metal stud framing, partitions, layout, and general construction.
• Commercial Interiors: Drywall installation, acoustical ceilings, doors, frames, and hardware.
• Finish Carpentry: Trim, cabinets, finish installations, and detailed carpentry work.

Requirements

• Previous hands-on carpentry or related construction experience.
• Demonstrated skills in at least one carpentry specialty.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and install materials accurately.
• Experience safely using trade-related hand and power tools.
• Reliable transportation to jobsites within your preferred work area.
• Ability to follow jobsite safety requirements and work effectively with a crew.

Ideal Candidate

• Have solid hands-on experience in rough, finish, framing, commercial interiors, or form carpentry.
