Job summary

TradeWorX is seeking experienced carpenters to support commercial construction, renovation, and maintenance projects in the Pittsburgh area including Monroeville. Various backgrounds welcome: rough carpentry, metal and wood framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and finish carpentry. Positions are primarily first shift, full-time opportunities may be available.

Pay ranges from $25 to $31 per hour, with overtime possibly offered. Travel and assignment details discussed before starting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on carpentry or related construction experience.
• Skills in at least one carpentry specialty.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and install materials accurately.
• Experience safely using trade-related hand and power tools.
• Reliable transportation to jobsites in your preferred work area.
• Follow jobsite safety requirements and work effectively with a crew.

Responsibilities

• Rough Carpentry & Framing: Wood framing, metal stud framing, partitions, and general construction.
• Commercial Interiors: Drywall installation, acoustical ceilings, doors, frames, and hardware.
• Finish Carpentry: Trim, cabinets, finish installations, and detailed carpentry work.
• Concrete Formwork: Building, installing, and removing forms.
• Renovation & Maintenance: Repairs, remodeling, punch-list work, and construction improvements.

TradeWorX is connecting with experienced carpenters throughout the Pittsburgh area as we prepare for anticipated commercial construction, renovation, and maintenance work. We work with carpenters from different backgrounds, including rough carpentry, metal and wood framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and finish carpentry. You don't need to do everything. If you're currently working but considering your next project, or your current assignment is coming to an end, we'd like to connect.

Pay & Overtime

$25–$31/hour, depending on verified experience, skill level, and assignment requirements. Pay is determined by the specific opportunity and the work you're qualified to perform. Overtime may be available depending on the assignment. Pay, schedule, and location are discussed before accepting an assignment.

Schedule

Primarily first-shift construction schedules. Full-time assignments may be available. Start times and weekly hours vary by project. Short-term, long-term, and ongoing opportunities may become available.
