Job summary

Sacred Oak Homes is hiring a Carpenter to work on residential and light commercial projects in Berkshire County, MA. You’ll collaborate with a Lead Carpenter to construct, install, and repair structural and finish elements, following local building codes and project schedules.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on carpentry experience including framing and finish work, with a strong safety mindset and good communication to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on carpentry experience, including framing and finish work.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from Lead Carpenter.
• Strong knowledge of job site safety and ability to complete a company-specific safety orientation.
• High integrity, professionalism, and good communication to work harmoniously with a team.

Responsibilities

• Build and install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using wood, steel, metal, and related materials.
• Fit and install window frames, doors, hardware, and trim to specifications.
• Safely erect scaffolding and ladders to access elevated work areas.
• Measure, cut, and install timbers, lumber, and paneling to prescribed dimensions; drill, fasten, and sand to finish.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and support the Lead Carpenter as needed.
