Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year caregiving experience preferred (home care, assisted living, or similar)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Home Care Aide (HCA) registration or willingness to obtain (assistance provided)
• TB test completed within the last 90 days
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, as required by law
• CNA certification preferred but not required

Position Summary

FirstLight Home Care is seeking experienced caregivers to provide in-home care services to seniors in East County, with current needs in and around Santee.

This role is ideal for caregivers who are dependable, professional, and comfortable supporting clients with a range of care needs, from companionship to hands-on personal care.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide companionship and emotional support

Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)

Support mobility and perform safe transfers

Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping

Accompany clients to errands and appointments as needed

Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment

Communicate clearly with clients, families, and office staff
