Job summary

Right at Home Wilmington is seeking experienced caregivers who are comfortable providing hands-on personal care, including bathing, mobility support, and meal preparation. Roles emphasize companionship and adherence to each client's care plan.

A $300 sign-on bonus is offered for qualified applicants. Pay ranges from $16 to $18 per hour, with weekly pay, same-day pay option, training, PTO, and overtime where applicable.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience is required.
• Must provide hands-on assistance with ADLs.
• Own a reliable vehicle is required.
• Must be able to communicate in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Available at least 2 days per week.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide safe mobility and transfer assistance.
• Prepare meals - cooking, not just heating.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and meaningful conversations.
• Follow each client's care plan.
• Recognize and report changes in condition.

THIS POSITION IS FOR YOU IF YOU CAN:

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

• Provide safe mobility and transfer assistance

• Prepare meals (this means cooking, not just heating up something in the microwave)

• Perform light housekeeping

• Provide medication reminders

• Provide companionship and supervision, including having meaningful, engaging conversations with your clients

• Follow a client's care plan

• Recognize and report changes in a client's condition or needs

THIS POSITION MAY NOT BE FOR YOU IF:

• You are looking for a sitter position

• You are not willing and able to drive up to 20 minutes to get to your shifts in your client’s home on time

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiving experience is required

• Must be comfortable providing hands-on ADL assistance

• Your own reliable vehicle

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English

• Must be available at least 2 days per week

• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential

• Must be able to work independently in a client's home
