Job summary

Visiting Angels El Paso is seeking an Experienced Caregiver to support West Texas seniors with 12-hour shifts in El Paso.

You will assist with medication, mobility, personal care, meal prep, transportation, and light housekeeping, while receiving training in dementia or Alzheimer's care. We encourage growth and teamwork in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about serving others.
• Strong knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Experience with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Ability to assist with mobility and transportation as needed.
• Adherence to health and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
