Visiting Angels of Southern Pines is seeking an Experienced Caregiver to support seniors in Sanford, Southern Pines, Spring Lake, Fort Liberty, Cameron, Bass, and nearby areas.

Responsibilities include personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility aid, and medication reminders, with a focus on home-based independence and dignity. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, PPE, holiday pay, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong time management and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to perform light housekeeping and cooking tasks for clients.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response is preferred.
• A compassionate heart for seniors and vulnerable individuals.
• Willingness to follow health and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Assist with personal care and hygiene as needed.
• Manage light housekeeping and meal preparation with client input.
• Encourage and support exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompt clients on prescribed medications at proper times.
• Assist with shopping and errands, or shop on clients' behalf.
• Plan meals in collaboration with clients based on ability.
• Support mobility and accompany clients to appointments or walks.

A Visiting Angels Experienced Caregiver wears many hats as they help our elderly and home-care clients stay at home or recover at home with dignity.

While no two client visits look exactly alike, responsibilities may include:

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks

An Experienced Caregiver must also be prepared to act quickly in the case of medical emergencies. This includes adequately reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances. Our caregivers possess the ideal blend of competency, compassion, and professional discernment.

Experienced Caregiver Job Requirements
