Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care in San Jose, CA is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home support to seniors, helping them stay safe, independent, and comfortable.

You will work closely with our healthcare team, assist with activities of daily living, provide companionship, monitor health, and ensure a clean, safe home environment.

This role offers weekend opportunities, part-time or full-time schedules, ongoing training, and a supportive team committed to reliable, respectful care.

Qualifications

• CNA – Non-Medical Caregiver certification or equivalent.
• Proven caregiving experience or in a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy and compassion for clients and families.
• Ability to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work weekends and possibly overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment for clients.

Role Overview:

As an Experienced Caregiver at Assisting Hands Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate, personalized care to seniors in their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our healthcare team to ensure each client receives the highest standard of care and support. Whether you work on-site in San Jose, you’ll have the flexibility to create a positive and impactful environment for those you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.

Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.

Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health status.

Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their home is comfortable.

Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to share updates and address concerns.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

CNA – Non-Medical Caregiver.

Proven experience as a caregiver or in a similar role.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Empathy and compassion toward clients and their families.

Ability to comply with health and safety regulations (e.g., hygiene protocols).

Flexibility and willingness to work weekends and potentially overnight shifts.

Bonus If You:

Have CPR and First Aid certifications.

Are bilingual.

Possess any specialized training in care practices for seniors.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time, Full-Time position available on weekends only.
