Job summary

Elara Caring in Kankakee, IL is seeking a Caregiver Personal Care Aide (PCA) to support clients in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, mobility, and companionship, delivering compassionate care with dignity and respect.

This role offers hourly pay ranges up to $18.00–$20.00, a sign-on bonus, and benefits including medical/dental/vision, plus a 401K match. Training is provided and daily pay is available to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of personal or professional caregiving experience.
• Dementia care experience required.
• Ability to provide full hands-on personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform housekeeping, laundry, and household tasks.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to improve quality of life.
• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments.
