Visiting Angels Marble Falls is hiring experienced caregivers to support clients across the Highland Lakes area, including Burnet and Marble Falls. The role offers flexible schedules, competitive wages, and growth opportunities.

As a Visiting Angels Experienced Caregiver, you will enhance clients' quality of life by providing personal care, mobility support, meals, light housekeeping, and compassionate companionship. Training in dementia/alzheimer’s care is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• First Aid and emergency response training is required (provided if needed).
• Good time-management and the ability to juggle multiple duties are important.
• Reliable transportation to client homes is required.
• Commitment to health and safety standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene as needed.
• Support light exercise or walks with clients.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients, following dietary needs.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe home environment.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents to supervisors.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany clients during shopping trips and appointments.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications on schedule.
• Assist with mobility and transfers as needed.

Role

As a Visiting Angels Experienced Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quick and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Visiting Angels offers opportunities for advanced training in areas like dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care for caregivers seeking to broaden their skills.

Experienced Caregiver Job Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you’re scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
