Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Houston, TX is seeking an Experienced CAD Operator to join our Land Development team. The ideal candidate will design and produce sets of plans for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects, using AutoCAD and Bentley software.

You will check drawings for quality, coordinate with team members, and maintain drawing databases while adhering to company standards and schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant CAD drafting experience.
• Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation.
• Detail oriented with good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce sets of plans for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential Land Development projects.
• Implement and manage AutoCAD drafting standards and plan preparation.
• Develop technical drawings and plans using CAD software.
• Quality check drawings of substantial complexity and perform calculations as needed.
• Maintain drawing database and coordinate with project team to meet schedules.
• Possibly supervise and train CAD staff and ensure quality control.
