Responsibilities:

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, etc.
• Safely operate mechanized equipment like bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, etc.
• Direct traffic flow according to local DOT guidelines
• Work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders
• Work in multiple locations
• Maintain safe working habits/conditions per regulations, procedures, and policies

Requirements:

• Be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license
• Prior experience as a lineman in placing aerial and underground telecommunication cables (fiber and coax) in OSP and ISP environments
• Ability to climb utility poles and work in bucket trucks and aloft, climb poles up to 40 feet

Physical Abilities & Exposures:

This role requires extended periods of standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds. Also, working in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
