Responsibilities:

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, etc.
• Operate mechanized equipment like bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators
• Direct traffic flow following local DOT guidelines
• Work safely aloft using climbing hooks and ladders
• Work in multiple locations
• Maintain safe working habits and conditions per regulations, procedures, and policies

Requirements:

• Be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license
• Experience as a lineman installing aerial and underground telecommunication cables in OSP and ISP environments
• Ability to climb utility poles and work in bucket trucks and aloft, climbing poles up to 40 feet

Physical and environmental conditions:

• Extended periods of standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds
• Work in extreme weather conditions like heat, cold, rain, ice, snow, wind
