Job summary

Great Lakes Auto Group is seeking a dependable Facilities Repairman to keep dealership facilities in peak condition. The role involves hands-on maintenance, electrical/plumbing work, and coordinating with contractors across multiple sites.

Travel between sites, after-hours on-call, and comfortable use of basic digital tools are required. A valid driver’s license and reliable attendance are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities repair, or related trades.
• Reading and following technical manuals and schematics.
• Comfortable using basic computer and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and plumbing.
• Install, troubleshoot, and replace lighting fixtures, switches and outlets.
• Assist with basic carpentry, drywall repair, and painting (interior/exterior).
• Assemble, move, and install furniture and fixtures.
• Mount and secure TVs, signage, shelving, and wall fixtures safely.
• Maintain, clean, and organize work areas, storage rooms and tools.
• Support renovation or remodeling projects as needed.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, ladders, lifts and other maintenance equipment safely.
• Coordinate and oversee outside contractors or service vendors when required.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls after hours or on weekends when on-call.
• Travel between multiple sites or locations, as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities repair, or related trades.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics.
• Willingness to travel between sites and respond to off‑hour service calls as needed.
• Comfortable using basic computer and mobile applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors as needed.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to follow direction.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required for this position.
