Texas Health Huguley operates as a joint venture between Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours a week

Shift: Day Shift – 7 am to 3 pm, rotating

On Call: 1 day and 1 weekend shift per month, with lessening as we hire; call required, must live within 30 minutes. Compensation: $7.00/hr.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Endoscopy RN practices as a professional nurse within the limits of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, assuming responsibility and accountability for patient care in the Endoscopy Lab. Utilizes skills, knowledge, and nursing process to ensure quality care, aligned with the philosophy, goals, and policies of the Nursing Department and hospital administration. Assists physicians with all procedures in Endoscopy, cleans equipment, and orders supplies and equipment needed.

  • Provides safe care through assessment and prioritization of patient needs during endoscopic/laser treatments.
  • Reviews chart for signed consent and physician’s orders before transporting patients.
  • Assesses patient status before and after procedures, documenting vital signs and other parameters.
  • Recognizes significant changes in patient condition and takes appropriate action.
  • Follows proper body mechanics and ensures safety during patient transport.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Currently licensed as an RN in Texas or a qualifying compact state.
  • Experience in endoscopy and bronchoscopy intra-procedure care.
