Job summary

Competition BMW in Saint James, NY is seeking experienced automotive technicians to join a busy, high-standard dealership team. You will diagnose, maintain and repair a wide range of vehicle systems, test-drive vehicles, and ensure quality workmanship in line with BMW standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean and valid driver's license.
• ASE certification is ideal but not required.
• BMW experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong technical background is essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Perform quality multi-point inspections on every vehicle.
• Test-drive vehicles responsibly.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and time estimates.
• Work five days a week with optional sixth day as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Must be punctual and dependable
• Must be able to work a 5 day work week with optional 6th day as needed/desired
• Perform quality work as specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership/BMW policies
• Test-drive vehicles responsibly
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Perform a quality multi-point inspection complete with technician video on every vehicle.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
