Job summary

Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center in Sonora, CA, seeks a Behavioral Health Therapist to provide assessments and therapy within primary care and community settings. You will collaborate with schools and the Tribe’s Educational Department to extend care beyond clinic walls.

Qualifications include a Master’s in social work or related field with licensure or a Psychology Doctorate with licensure; 3 years (or 1 year with a Doctorate) of clinical experience; knowledge of HIPAA and quality

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or related field with state licensure.
• Doctorate in Psychology with state licensure.
• 3 years of clinical experience (Pattern I) or 1 year with a Psychology doctorate (Pattern II).
• Experience with Native American populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations and treatments across age groups within primary care and behavioral health.
• Deliver therapeutic services and participate in psycho-educational groups.
• Collaborate with schools and tribal educational departments for community care.
• Maintain documentation meeting billing, certification, and regulatory standards.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and pursue continuous quality improvement.
