Job summary

Midas in San Leandro, CA is seeking an experienced automotive technician who takes pride in quality workmanship. You’ll work on foreign and domestic vehicles and perform maintenance to advanced diagnostics and major repairs.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional automotive repair experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, engine performance, and electrical systems.
• ASE certifications are strongly preferred; valid driver's license required; personal tools needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
• Use modern scan tools and computerized diagnostic equipment
• Perform brake inspections and repairs
• Diagnose and repair steering and suspension systems
• Perform wheel alignments
• Service heating and air-conditioning systems
• Repair radiators, cooling systems, belts, and hoses
• Diagnose battery, starting, and charging systems
• Install, balance, rotate, and repair tires
• Diagnose check-engine lights
• Repair mufflers and exhaust systems
• Perform oil changes and preventive maintenance
• Complete thorough vehicle safety and courtesy inspections
• Clearly document diagnostic findings and recommended repairs
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Follow all safety and environmental requirements
