Job summary

Merchants Auto in Hooksett, NH is seeking an experienced automotive technician to join a high-volume service operation. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair a range of systems, and participate in multipoint inspections to ensure safe, reliable vehicles for customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years automotive repair experience
• Three ASE Certifications or equivalent OEM certifications preferred
• Ability to obtain certifications within one year if not currently certified
• 5+ years automotive repair experience (for Class A)
• Seven ASE Certifications or equivalent OEM certifications preferred
• Master ASE Certification strongly preferred
• Ability to obtain certifications within one year if not currently certified

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, brakes, fluid services, filters, and tire replacement
• Diagnose and repair steering, suspension, exhaust, and other undercarriage systems
• Conduct multipoint inspections for customer and resale vehicles
• Diagnose and repair drivability concerns on gasoline-powered passenger vehicles and light trucks
• Utilize scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues
• Perform interior and exterior trim repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair vehicle electrical systems (Class A technicians)
