Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, ensuring safe operation. The role involves wheel alignments, tire services, oil changes, and general maintenance using specialized tools.

A team-focused, detail-driven, and customer-centric approach is essential for success. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in auto repair or 2–4 years of hands-on training, plus alignment experience or a relevant vocational program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive repair or 2–4 years of hands-on training in automotive maintenance.
• 1+ year of experience as an alignment technician or completion of a post-secondary vocational program in automotive technology.
• Extensive knowledge of tire installation, wheel balancing, and diagnosing ride disturbances.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, and suspension or steering adjustments as needed.
• Conduct general vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, fluid checks, and tune-ups.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate service records and document completed work in accordance with company policies.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety standards in the shop.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers, explaining findings and recommended repairs clearly.
