AutoNation is seeking a Service Technician at our Fremont, CA dealership. You will perform diagnostics, follow repair orders, and apply factory and dealer procedures to ensure quality workmanship.

Training and OEM certification support are provided, with room to grow into advanced service roles. The role emphasizes strong mechanical and electrical skills, a customer-focused approach, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications or willingness to obtain them.
• High School diploma or equivalent; vocational training is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Stay current with diagnostic methods and service techniques for vehicles sold and serviced by the dealership.
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and factory standards.
• Follow factory and dealership repair procedures when performing warranty work.
• Participate in service technician training programs and in-dealership service trainings.
• Record cause of failure and describe work done clearly on repair orders.
• Communicate with service manager and team leaders to confirm diagnosis, status, and completion.
• Request parts as necessary and ensure road-test results are documented.
• Follow safety procedures to minimize exposure to fumes and chemicals.
