Job summary

Central Maine Motors Auto Group is seeking experienced certified technicians for all brands across our three climate-controlled facilities: Central Maine Toyota, Central Maine Chevy-Buick and Central Maine Chrysler. You will diagnose and repair vehicles to factory specs, perform Maine State Inspections, mentor junior technicians, and uphold high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess repair orders and plan work to be performed.
• Collaborate with Parts Advisor to procure needed parts.
• Perform Maine State Inspections.
• Execute routine service tasks: oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, TPMS relearn.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles to factory specs with provided tools.
• Complete repair order documentation and communicate updates to management.
• Mentor entry-level technicians and ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment and compliance with procedures.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assesses and analyzes repair orders and plans work to be performed.
• Collaborates with Parts Advisor and other Service Department Staff to procure parts and/or accessories required for repair.
• Performs Maine State Inspections.
• Performs routine service i.e. lube chassis, check and top off all fluid levels, change oil and filter, reset oil life monitor system, inspect filters, rotate tires, set tire pressures, and relearn tpms sensors as needed.
• Diagnoses and repairs vehicle to factor specs. using a variety of tools, which must be supplied by the technician.
• Performs and completes report card on all customer repair orders ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and meeting customer delivery expectations.
• Communicates repair work information to Production Manager and/or Service Advisor and documents repair work in DMS system.
• Mentors entry-level technicians in order to develop technicians’ skills.
• Reviews completed work to ensure quality of repairs.
• Performs work according to policies and procedures, and maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Completes and maintains Factory and Dealer Training and Certification.
• Accurately records time spent on repairs utilizing company time clocking procedures.
• Ensures applicable diagnostic worksheets are completed and factory required documentation standards are met on the back of repair orders.
• Advises Production Manager or Service Manager of any supply issues or concerns with tools or equipment.
• Works as a team and maintains positive working relationships with other technicians and Service Department staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The Skilled Technician may be required to perform work inside and outside, in all temperature and weather situations. The Dealerships do have air conditioning in the service department and in the bays. Sound and noise levels may be distracting or uncomfortable. The employee frequently works around hazardous machinery, in confined work spaces and may be exposed to high temperatures, fumes, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The position requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time, manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 100 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
