Job summary

All Tune Total Car Care is seeking an Experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. We value technicians who perform high-quality repairs and are open to learning and improving processes that boost efficiency and morale.

The ideal candidate has at least 7 years in a shop or dealership, ASE certifications are preferred, EPA 609 HVAC certification is required, and proficiency with Tekmetric, Word, and Excel is expected. A valid license and personal tools are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in an independent shop or dealership service department.
• ASE certifications (A1–A8) are highly preferred; Section 609 EPA Certification for HVAC is required.
• Must be capable of learning internal software systems; Tekmetric experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must possess a professional set of tools; ability to lift 60–75 lbs; bend and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: use modern diagnostic techniques and equipment to pinpoint malfunctions.
• Inspections: perform multi-point digital and photo vehicle inspections and document findings for Advisors.
• Maintenance: perform routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid flushes.
• Repairs: repair or replace steering/suspension components, brakes, transmissions, and engines and road-test vehicles to verify repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: Use modern diagnostic techniques and equipment to accurately pinpoint mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Inspections: Conduct and record thorough multi-point digital and photographic vehicle inspections and document findings for Service Advisors to communicate to customers.
• Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid flushes.
• Repairs: Repair or replace steering and suspension components, brakes, transmissions, and engines. Road-test vehicles before and after service to ensure all repairs are completed successfully, address customer concerns, and meet safety standards.

Shop Safety:

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and hazardous waste disposal regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 7 years of professional experience in an independent shop or dealership service department.
• Certifications: ASE certifications (A1–A8) are highly preferred but not required; Section 609 EPA Certification for HVAC required and a commitment to ongoing education.
• Software Proficiency: Must be capable of learning software systems (internal) and other systems such as WORD and Excel. Tekmetric experience is a plus.
• License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Tools: Must possess a professional set of tools and basic and specialty tools.
• Physical: Ability to lift 60–75 lbs. and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and long periods of standing.
