Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Palo Alto is seeking an experienced dealership technician with Mercedes-Benz or European luxury brand background to join our high-volume service team in Silicon Valley. You will diagnose and repair across engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, ADAS, and more, using XENTRY, STAR, and OEM procedures, and you will document findings and parts used.

Qualifications

• 2+ years dealership technician experience
• Mercedes-Benz or European luxury brand experience preferred
• Mercedes-Benz or European platform experience: BMW, Audi, Porsche, Volvo, or Land Rover backgrounds welcome
• XENTRY or STAR diagnostic platform experience preferred
• ASE certifications a strong plus
• Physically capable of performing the demands of the role throughout the shift
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles across a full range of systems — engine, transmission, brakes, advanced electrical, suspension, HVAC, ADAS, and beyond — using XENTRY, STAR, and OEM diagnostic procedures
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans — communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization
• Execute repairs to Mercedes-Benz factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts
• Complete repair orders accurately — documenting all work performed, diagnostic findings, and parts used with precision
• Stay current on Mercedes-Benz technical service bulletins, software updates, and evolving repair procedures
• Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation that reflects the standard of the Mercedes-Benz brand
• Contribute to a shop culture where diagnostic excellence, quality craftsmanship, and professionalism are the baseline

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

2+ years of dealership technician experience -- Mercedes-Benz or European luxury brand experience strongly preferred

Strong diagnostic foundation -- comfortable working through complex, multi-system problems methodically and accurately

Mercedes-Benz or European platform experience: BMW, Audi, Porsche, Volvo, or Land Rover backgrounds welcome -- your diagnostic skills transfer and we'll invest in your MBZ certification

XENTRY or STAR diagnostic platform experience preferred -- or equivalent European diagnostic tool proficiency

ASE certifications a strong plus -- Mercedes-Benz factory certifications highly valued

Low comeback rate and a personal quality standard that doesn't require managing
