Job summary

Modern Chevrolet Cadillac of Burlington has an immediate opening for an experienced Automotive Service Technician. Join a team of skilled professionals in a state-of-the-art facility with multiple service bays and advanced diagnostic equipment.

The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of experience, dealership exposure, ASE certifications (preferred), and a valid driver’s license. You will diagnose, repair, and test vehicles, while continuously learning new techniques.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Dealership experience is highly preferred.
• ASE certifications are highly preferred.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
• Road testing vehicles to confirm repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, drivability, suspension, flushes, oil changes, etc.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and/or customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

Job Requirements

As an Automotive Technician, you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an Automotive Technician:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technician

• A.S.E. certifications are highly preferred
• Hold a valid driver’s license
