Position: General Sales Manager

Location: Key Cars Auto Group — Multiple Openings Across Connecticut (Milford, Manchester, Middletown)

What We’re Looking For:

We’re in search of a proven General Sales Manager with the leadership skills and industry insight to take our sales teams to the next level:

  • 3+ years of experience as a General Sales Manager at a franchised dealership

  • 5+ years of total automotive retail experience, ideally in high-volume environments

  • Strong command of new and pre-owned operations, including inventory control and pricing

  • Proven track record of leading teams to meet and exceed sales volume and gross profit targets

  • Experience with desking deals, CRM/lead management, and digital retailing tools

  • A hands-on, team-first leader with a passion for coaching, accountability, and results

  • Knowledge of OEM programs and compliance processes

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Sales Department

  • Set clear goals for team performance and drive results through effective leadership

  • Support inventory acquisition and merchandising strategies

  • Hire, onboard, train, and mentor sales consultants and desk managers

  • Improve customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring a world-class experience

  • Collaborate with fixed operations and F&I for maximum dealership efficiency

  • Monitor digital marketing efforts and ensure timely follow-up on all leads

  • Maintain compliance with all OEM and regulatory requirements
