Job summary

Morrie’s Auto Group in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled automotive technician to diagnose, repair, and test engines, transmissions, and related systems. You will perform inspections, write repair estimates, and drive vehicles for testing with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Entry-level applicants with working knowledge of cars are welcome; a clean driving record and background check are required. A sign-on bonus may be available for eligible technicians, and a strong path to management advancement

Qualifications

Working knowledge of cars preferred for entry-level applicants.
Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair problems with engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and similar systems.
Test to ensure systems and components are secure and functioning properly.
Test drive or use diagnostic equipment for vehicle assessment.
Maintain accuracy and efficiency in diagnosing and repairs.
Follow a checklist to inspect critical vehicle parts.
Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes and related items.
Use pneumatic wrenches and other tools to remove bolts.
Use grinding machines and lathes to rebuild brakes.
Use common hand tools to service parts.
Prepare written vehicle damage repair estimates.
