CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is hiring an Experienced Audit Associate to service nonprofit clients in New England. This in-office role is based out of our New England offices, with opportunities to travel to client sites as needed.

You will perform significant audit engagements, build client relationships, and support staff development while ensuring high-quality service and timely engagement wrap-ups. The compensation range listed is for Massachusetts and reflects market rates for experienced CPA

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA exam preferred.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in professional services.
  • Ability to travel to client sites, overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of audit procedures for nonprofit clients.
  • Audit complex areas and prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Schedule, delegate, and review staff work.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff on engagements.
  • Keep management informed of engagement status and issues.
  • Interact with clients to gather information for timely wrap-up.

CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP is hiring an Experienced Audit Associate to service our Nonprofit clients in New England. As an Experienced Audit Associate, you will perform significant audit and other assurance engagements for our clients, build relationships, and assure continued close personal attention to their needs. CLA auditors get the footing they need to step confidently into leadership positions and more specialized practice areas. This position will be and in-office role based out of any one of our New England offices.

How you'll create opportunities in this Experienced Audit Associate role:
  • Perform a wide range of audit and accounting procedures impacting industry-specific issues.
  • Audit complex areas or transactions as well as prepare financial statements and related reports.
  • Schedule, delegate, and review the work of staff.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff.
  • Keep Manager or Principal informed of engagement status and issues.
  • Proactively interact and communicate with clients to gather information to ensure timely engagement wrap-up.
What you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
  • Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in professional services required (completed internship(s) may qualify as related experience)
  • Ability to travel to client sites which may also require infrequent overnight travel.

The compensation range for this position in Massachusetts is: $65,000.00 - $106,000.00.
