Blackman & Sloop seeks an Experienced Audit Associate to work on diverse audit engagements for commercial and nonprofit clients across our niches, including construction and nonprofits. The role suits 1–2 years of public accounting audit experience and growth in engagement responsibility.

You will collaborate with a team, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines while applying U.S. GAAP and internal control principles. Hybrid work with supportive culture.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of external audit experience in public accounting.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, internal controls, and financial statement presentation.
• Experience preparing workpapers, reconciliations, lead schedules, and analytical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support audit engagements for diverse clients including for-profit and nonprofit.
• Follow GAAS, firm methodology, and accounting standards in procedures.
• Prepare workpapers, lead schedules, reconciliations, and account analyses.
