Job summary

Armanino is seeking an Audit staff member in Austin, TX to perform audits, reviews, and compilations under supervision. You’ll analyze financial statements, exercise professional skepticism, and prepare workpapers.

You will work with a team and pursue CPA eligibility, building technical knowledge of GAAP/GAAS and client controls. The role emphasizes collaboration, timely communication with managers and seniors, and developing your accounting skills within a supportive, growth-oriented firm

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
• Minimum 1 year of Public Accounting experience, including experience on audit engagements.
• Demonstrate understanding of applicable U.S. GAAP and GAAS.
• Ability to research and analyze technical issues independently as requested.
• Identify internal control deficiencies and document management letter comments for communicating deficiencies to clients.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits, reviews, compilations, and various engagements.
• Analyze financial statement data and draw logical conclusions.
• Exercise professional skepticism in the critical assessment of audit evidence.
• Research and analyze pertinent clients, industry, and technical matters.
• Work with a team of up to 5 fellow staff members and coach newer staff under supervision.
• Identify, assess, and document controls and weaknesses in client accounting systems.
• Prepare clear and accurate workpapers.
• Update managers and seniors of job status and assurance issues in a timely manner.
