Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP in Denver is seeking an Audit Associate to launch your accounting career within a leading advisory firm. You will work with privately held and publicly traded clients across development stages, delivering audit and other assurance services with guidance from senior professionals.

You will gain hands-on testing of balance sheets, evaluate internal controls, and develop client relationships while growing your technical accounting skills and professional network.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience.
  • 4 year degree, License eligible.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing various assurance and consulting services.
  • Proactively engage with clients throughout the year to gather needed information to complete testing and respond to questions raised.
  • Perform substantive testing on client’s balance sheets and income statements.
  • Test for deficiencies of internal controls and discuss recommendations for improvement.
  • Learn and grow from on-the-job coaching and mentoring along with firm-wide learning and development programs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience.
  • 4 year degree, License eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in accounting or a related degree in business, with sufficient course work and credits to sit for the CPA exam in the state you are being considered.
  • Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel.
  • Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving.
  • Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

The pay rate range for this job position is $70,220.00 to $92,170.00. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees/certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
