Job summary

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree, CPA license preferred or actively pursuing completion of exam.
  • 3+ years of experience providing financial statement auditing services within a public accounting firm.
  • Must have banking experience, including public banking experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration and problem solving.
  • Strong leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability.
  • Microsoft Suite skills.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing assurance and consulting services to industry clients.
  • Proactively engage with clients throughout the year to gather information and respond to questions.
  • Plan and supervise the execution of all audit engagement activities.
  • Review and perform substantive testing on balance sheets and income statements.
  • Conduct and review tests to assess internal control deficiencies and make recommendations.

What you will do
  • Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing various assurance and consulting services to industry specific clients.
  • Proactively engage with your clients throughout the year to gather needed information to complete testing and respond to questions raised.
  • Plan and supervise the execution of all audit engagement activities.
  • Review and perform substantive testing on client’s balance sheets and income statements.
  • Conduct and review tests to assess deficiencies of internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Play an active role in discussions with the Manager and Partner relative to business recommendations resulting from testing performed and information gathered.
  • Learn and grow from direct on the job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs.
  • Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and with your clients.
  • Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals.

Qualifications
  • 4-year degree, license eligible CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of exam
  • Three (3)+ years of experience providing financial statement auditing services within a public accounting firm
  • Must have banking experience, including public banking experience.

  • Strong leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability
  • Microsoft Suite skills
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred

The pay range for this job position is $79,400 to $108,900. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
