Job summary

Emory Healthcare in Atlanta seeks an experienced athletic trainer to support orthopedic and sports medicine physicians. The role delivers clinical evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal patients with autonomy and professional oversight.

You will collaborate with the sports medicine team, document patient visits, and participate in education, outreach, and residency mentorship. A nationally certified ATC and Georgia licensure are required.

Qualifications

Nationally certified athletic trainer (ATC).
Georgia state licensure as an athletic trainer.
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; medical terminology considered essential.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

Provide athletic training services under the direction of orthopedic physicians.
Perform clinical evaluations and treatments for musculoskeletal conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic studies under physician supervision.
Document patient visits and care plans in electronic records.
Mentor residency program participants and assist with research projects.
