Qualifications

Completion of the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program required upon hire.
Completion of First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
Preferred certifications in arboriculture or tree safety.

Responsibilities

Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS techniques.
Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal safely and skillfully.
Properly maintain and operate tools, including chainsaws and aerial lifts.

Position Overview

Trimand removetrees, remove unwanted,diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areasby performing the following duties.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
Including but not limited to:
Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
Removal of hazardous trees
Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more

Qualifications

Love of the outdoors
Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates
Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist , ISA Certified Tree Worker , and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
