Encore Electric, Inc. is seeking an Apprentice Electrician (Service) in Belgrade, MT to participate in commercial electrical installation under supervision. Encore will cover electrical schooling and provide hands-on learning in a reputable Montana contractor environment.

This apprenticeship emphasizes safety, code knowledge, and progression through the program with periodic reviews; entry-level positions are full at this time.

Description

OVERVIEW:

An Apprentice Electrician (Service) participates in commercial electrical installation and follows direction from Service Technicians.

Please note: this posting is for experienced electricians only! At this time, our entry-level positions are full.

COMPENSATION: $28.75 per hour - $37.50 per hour (an additional 25% is included in this rate).

General Responsibilities

• Works with a commitment to safety

• Digs trenches as needed

• Wears tools at all required times

Specific Responsibilities

• Tracking of Apprenticeship Paperwork including hours and reviews
• Takeresponsibility for their education through the apprenticeship program. This includes:
• Homework
• Tests
• Quizzes
• Keeping up with changing technology
• Keeping up with the national electrical code
• Responsible for communications including tell back procedure
• Uses electrical formulas to figure out pipe fill, device and panel size, and disconnect
• Lays out and organizes assigned tasks to first and second year apprentices
• By the end of the third year, the employee should be proficient at planning materials and tools needed to complete the job
• Reads and understands basic blueprints
• Handles material required for the job
• Installs raceways, pulls wire, and mounts equipment
• Assembles and installs small to large electrical parts and pieces
• Trims outlets, recessed cans and other repetitive finish work
• Performs duties as assigned by lead people
