Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst for its Industrials Advisory group in Chicago, Illinois. The Analyst will work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming, multi-billion-dollar transactions and take on significant responsibilities early in their career.

The role involves involvement in buy-side and sell-side M&A, portfolio separations, balance sheet restructurings, and assisting in raising debt or equity financing, with a demanding but rewarding environment.

The Industrials Advisory group is responsible for covering a broad range of large-cap corporate clients and financial sponsors in sectors including aerospace, defense, and government services; automotive; building products; capital goods and machinery; diversified industrials; industrial technology and automation.

What is the Position?

Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst for its Industrials Advisory group in Chicago, Illinois.

Primary Responsibilities:

Evercore's unique market position provides Analysts the ability to work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming, multi-billion-dollar transactions in markets around the world. The small transaction team structure provides the Analyst with a strong platform to learn investment banking and assume high levels of responsibility at early stages of the individual’s career. As part of the team, the Analyst will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments including buy-side M&A, sell-side M&A, portfolio separations and breakups, balance sheet restructurings, evaluation of strategic alternatives and assistance in raising debt or equity financing.

Specific Qualifications:

The Analyst will be ambitious, self-directed, creative and resourceful. The candidate will be passionately interested in a career in investment banking, intellectually curious and eager to learn. We are seeking an academically accomplished candidate with the ability to multitask. This position comes with challenging work and a demanding environment in a rapidly growing firm. The ideal candidate will have:

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• An excellent, team-based attitude
• Relentless work ethic and high energy level
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Calm under pressure with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Intellectual curiosity and an interest in finance

Expected Base Salary Range:

$120,000 - $140,000
