Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist

AIS Healthcare, a leading provider of Targeted Drug Delivery (TDD) and Infusion Care, is seeking experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collection experts to join our dynamic team. This full-time role involves managing collection processes for TDD services, including contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing-related issues with insurance companies or responsible parties. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of billing and collection practices.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3-5 years of healthcare industry experience
  • 3-5 years of medical billing and collections experience
  • Experience with aged accounts preferred
  • Experience in Home Infusion or Intrathecal Pain Management is preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support patient rights and confidentiality
  • Follow up on invoices for prompt payment and escalate issues
  • Evaluate payments and denials for correctness
  • Identify bad debts, initiate write-offs and adjustments
  • Investigate overpayments and duplicate payments
  • Process refunds as per policies
  • Coordinate with other departments for claim information
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates
  • Troubleshoot payment discrepancies and document interactions
  • Maximize claim reimbursement
  • Resolve denial issues within 5 days
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA
  • Understand NDC numbers, infusion supplies, and medical codes
  • Share knowledge with team members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
